Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
The APS's function is to provide the Engine Control Module (ECM) with information about the driver's throttle input. It does this by determining the angle or position of the accelerator pedal. The APS allows the throttle body to open based on how far the pedal is pressed, which causes the vehicle to accelerate or decelerate.
